Cell phones!
I have one. I love them, they are incredibly useful. But today I won’t be talking about cell phones. I’ll be talking about ring tones. Ring tones piss me off to no end. Especially the ring tones that are 8-bit audio file representations of a generic rap song that already sucks. Somehow, people think that converting this horrendous piece of music to a ring tone will increase the overall quality and enjoyability of it. This is not the case. You know what I miss? *ringgg* *ringgg* *ringgg* That’s right; the old, regular, simple chime sound that lets you know someone is on the line. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with all varieties of ring tones (excluding, of course, the ones made from popular music). I just don’t enjoy it when I’m standing in starbucks and the woman behind me decides not to answer her phone simply so that she can hear the ring tone masterpiece that is, “smack that”. Stop it, people! Just stop it.
